At the launch ceremony, Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hanoi Branch Nguyen Lan Huong affirmed that over the past years, with the spirit of "For Vietnam's seas and islands", the government and people of the capital have had practical and meaningful activities to encourage officers, soldiers and people on the seas and islands, contributing to building and protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Since 2016, the city has mobilized about 14 million USD for the Fund and help the construction of eight multi-purpose cultural houses in Truong Sa Island district, Khanh Hoa province.
