The MSC Sveva was sailing from Singapore to China and was 156 nautical miles Southeast of Vung Tau beach, when one of its crew member, a mechanic, had a deep cut on his right elbow and suffered from heavy blood loss.

Upon receiving an assistance request from the captain of MSC Sveva, the Vietnam MRCC dispatched a ship for a rescue operation.

The injured crew member received timely treatment and was later transferred to Ho Chi Minh City for additional care.
