Pham Van Luyen, Rear Admiral, Deputy Head of Politics of the Navy, and the working group offered incense and spent a minute of silence in honor of those who died for their homeland's islands and seas.

In March 1988, 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy heroically sacrificed their lives to protect the sacred territory of the Fatherland. Their images and the glorious flag of the Fatherland defiantly protecting national territory resemble immortal lighthouses in the immense Truong Sa sea.
