According to the online booking platform Agoda, searches for accommodation in Hanoi during the holiday have surged 44 times compared to last year. Booking.com says Hanoi is the most-searched destination among Vietnamese travelers this season.
Nguyen Hong Hanh, Manager of the Fleur Hanoi Hotel, said, “Bookings at our hotel have already reached 60%. We are working to prevent price hikes by resellers and provide the best service for visitors during the celebrations.”
Hotels rated three stars and above near the Old Quarter and Ba Dinh Square – where a grand parade will take place – report occupancy rates of 80 to 95%, with many fully booked for September 1-2. The Hanoi tourism sector reports a 30% rise in visitors over last year, driven by early bookings from domestic tourists and strong international demand.

CEO of L’Signature Hotel Hoang Van Dang said, “Our hotel is located right in the city center near Hoan Kiem Lake, with the majority of guests being foreigners. 80% of bookings have come from the Middle East, Arab countries, and the US. We’ve prepared flag-themed wristbands and T-shirts featuring the Vietnamese flag or national symbols for our guests during their stay.”
Hanoi has 71,000 rooms in 3,700 lodging establishments, including 85 hotels and serviced apartments rated 1 to 5 stars. Budget-friendly options make up 60,000 rooms, further supplemented by community lodging platforms such as Airbnb.
Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of Hanoi’s Tourism Department, advised visitors to make their bookings early to secure rooms at reasonable prices, including options in surrounding areas for greater convenience.
“This allows travelers to combine their holiday stay with tours of cultural sites, spiritual destinations, and traditional craft villages. Hoteliers and investors have pledged not to raise prices during the holiday period, instead focusing on improving service quality to ensure that Hanoi remains a safe, friendly, welcoming destination,” Hieu noted.

Hotels are rolling out incentives such as 15% discounts on buffet dining, free stays for children under 16, complimentary room upgrades, and access to saltwater pools. Many are promoting cultural tourism experiences, including afternoon tea services, walking tours, street food excursions, and cycling trips.
“Guests will enjoy afternoon tea and photo opportunities on our first and second floors. On the evening of September 2, we’ll host a rooftop event where diners can watch the fireworks over the city,” said Vu Phuong Thao, Manager of the Madelise Hotel.
Tour operators are capitalizing on the holiday with special packages that combine the parade with visits to cultural and historic landmarks.
Ha Ly, Deputy Sales Director of Fantasea Travel, said that her company is seeing strong interest from both international and domestic travelers, especially those from central and southern Vietnam, who are pairing their Hanoi trips with excursions to Ha Long and Ninh Binh.
With hotels, restaurants, and tour operators joining forces, Hanoi is ready to showcase itself as a welcoming and culturally rich capital during this year’s National Day celebrations.
