Traditional folk masks, star lanterns, and various new designs draw crowds of eager buyers. Among the most sought-after items are star lanterns and colorful paper carp lantern models.
Joining the bustling atmosphere, foreign visitors expressed their delight at the dazzling decorations and traditional toys that make Hanoi’s old quarter especially charming during this time.
"I really like there are many children and many toys. It’s wonderful to see everyone having such a good time", a foreign visitor said.
"This is my first time here, and I’m mind-blowing. This place is beautiful – full of atmosphere, colorful lights, and happy faces everywhere", another visitor shared.
Foreign tourists also said that they found the Mid-Autumn festival to be a fascinating experience, unlike anything in their home countries.
