The event attracted the participation of staffs and soldiers from naval units across the country. Soldier Pham Duc Thang of DK1/21 rig house said: "The exchange connects youth members and young people with the border and coast guards. It also strengthens our determination in safeguarding national maritime sovereignty."
Ly Ngoc Trang, Deputy-secretary of the city’s District 5 Youth Union, said: "This is the first time I’ve participated in such an event. The soldiers’ stories inspire young people to contribute more to the nation."
The event was part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of a fund for national’s seas and islands.
