At the 11th ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting plus three (China, South Korea, and Japan) on Wednesday, Vietnamese Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said that Vietnam will work with ASEAN countries to boost the implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on Human Resource Development for the Changing World of Work, the ASEAN Declaration on Promoting Green Jobs for Equality and Inclusive Growth, and the Declaration of ASEAN Labour Ministers on Future Work.
“Vietnam considers human resource development one of the three strategic breakthroughs in socio-economic development now and in the future. The Vietnamese government approved a Strategy on Human Resource Development from 2011 to 2020. After 10 years of implementation we have fine tuned the legal system and policies on education, labour, employment, science, and technology. Vietnam has obtained a high ranking in human resource, innovation, and human development,” said Minister Dung.
