The 18th “Red Sunday” campaign is organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in provinces and cities, and other units nationwide.
A large number of students from Hanoi University of Science and Technology donated their blood the same day.
Student Le Hai Phong said: “This is the third time that I have donated blood at the "Red Sunday" event. It is a very meaningful activity that can save many lives. This is something I should do.”
Associate Professor Dr. Tran Ngoc Que, Director of the National Blood Center under the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, praised the volunteer spirit of young participants. “The Red Sunday blood donation program is very important in reserving blood supplies for the New Year celebration period. After many years of organization, the program has helped ensure sufficient blood supplies for patients during the Lunar New Year.”
The 18th "Red Sunday" campaign runs from December 2025 through March 2026. On December 20 last year, the program was held at Celadon Tan Phu in Ho Chi Minh City, receiving more than 300 units of blood.
