Ly Tran, chose the name "Multicolor" for her exhibition in Hanoi, referring to her personality. She was born in Hanoi, grew up in Moscow, and now lives in the US. Most of the works in "Multicolor", the result of years of hard work, blend impressionism and expressionism with emotion.

Artist Dang Tuan said: “Ly Tran's work impresses me a lot. Looking at her paintings, I can feel her emotions while creating them. It seems like Ly doesn't care about painting style. She puts emotions first, which is a precious factor in paintings.”

While Ly Tran adores lacquer, she is also proficient in other media. In addition to oil and lacquer, some of her works use mixed materials. The artist is experimenting with new techniques and materials to develop her own style.

Sharing about her future plans, Ly Tran said: “After a series of exhibits in the USA, I want to introduce another unique material of Vietnam, which is lacquer. I return to Vietnam to learn more about this material to realize my purpose. In this exhibit, I showcase 7 lacquer paintings, which required a lot of time and effort to create. It is a challenge to bring lacquer to the wider world, and I will try new methods rather than traditional ones.”
