Pham Duc An is honored by the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group.
Pham Duc An was born in 1973 and has worked in the coal sector for 25 years. When he was alive, President Ho Chi Minh often gave his attention to the coal sector and the miners in Quang Ninh province. In 1968, President Ho met with miners and urged them to work hard to make the coal sector a spearhead economic sector. Pham Duc An says he always bears in mind President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching and tries to do his best.
“I always try my hardest to improve my expertise and skills. I also encourage others to conserve production materials and make full use of old materials to reduce production costs,” said An.
Over the years, Pham Duc An has served as a good role model. Mr. Trinh Ngoc Toan, President of the Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company, said: “Our employees follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example in very simple and practical ways. Pham Duc An is an outstanding worker who also helps others.”

Quang Ninh province’s Party Committee has launched a program to honor a coal miner each month,” he said.
An has been awarded the third Labor Order and the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit for his great contribution to the coal sector.
