Y Mien Ktul has been busier since the COVID-19 pandemic resurged in Dak Lak province. In addition to his regular work, Y Mien Ktul commands the military forces at a quarantine site at Dak Lak province’s School of Politics, where more than 400 people who recently returned from COVID-affected areas are under quarantine.
Soldier Phan Pham Phuc said, “Senior Lieutenant-colonel Y Mien Ktul is an outstanding leader. He takes care of his staff and inspires us to fulfil our duty.”
As Party Secretary of the provincial Military Command, Y Mien Ktul has had much of the responsibility for carrying out military and national defense tasks, including military training, designing military management and discipline measures, and supervising the maintenance of technological facilities. He has also consulted on organizing military training for soldiers, and developing local self-defense forces.
Y Mien Ktul says he has his unit study the five lessons taught by President Ho Chi Minh every day and has launched emulation movements to respond to the campaign.
“I am active in studying President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle and apply them in my daily life. I am also working out a number of plans to promote the campaign,” he said.
Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Tran Minh Trong, Political Commissar of Dak Lak province’s Military Command, emphasized the Politburo Directive on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle. Y Mien Ktul has contributed a number of initiatives to promote the Directive in daily life, Trong said.
“Senior Lieutenant-colonel Y Mien Ktul has proposed many initiatives to improve the effectiveness of military training and be prepared for any task. He is close to his staff and is respected by many,” said Trong.
