The US Central Command in the Middle East confirmed that a cargo ship flying the Marshall Islands flag was targeted by anti-ship missiles in the southern Red Sea. The attack caused damage to the ship's left side but resulted in no casualties and did not impact the ship's navigation.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued combined air force, navy, artillery, and infantry attacks against targets in Gaza.

The Palestinian Health Authority reported that these attacks resulted in at least 150 people dead and 300 injured, most of them civilians. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said combat operations will continue until the objective of defeating Hamas forces and rescuing all hostages is accomplished.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday once again urged an immediate ceasefire to facilitate humanitarian relief deliveries to Gaza while mitigating the risk of escalating hostilities and increasing instability in the region. The World Food Program, the UN Children's Fund, and the World Health Organization appealed to the Israeli government to grant access to the port of Ashdod in northern Gaza for the transportation of emergency humanitarian aid.
