NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said lawmakers will discuss socio-economic development and the State budget for this year and plans for next year, as well as socio-economic development, public investment, national finance, and public debt plans for the 2021-2025 period.

Chairman Hue said that during this meeting, a Q&A session and a vote of confidence on officials holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly will be held.  

“These important monitoring methods demonstrate the National Assembly's recognition and evaluation of the performance of those undergoing votes of confidence,” said Mr. Hue.

He went on to say that lawmakers are asked to uphold their sense of responsibility to the nation, to agencies, and to the Assembly and State apparatus to ensure a fair, objective, and accurate vote of confidence.

The ongoing Assembly session will be in two phases, the first from October 23 to November 10 and the second from November 20 to November 28.
