Minister Riester, who co-chaired the 8th Annual High-Level Vietnam-France Economic Dialogue in Paris on Friday, noted that economic  cooperation between Vietnam and France is important as the two countries share common interests and challenges in energy transition and digital transformation.

This year's gathering aims to materialize the agreements reached during the phone talks between French President Emmanuel Macron and Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong last October, he said.

Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong highlighted Vietnam's efforts to boost economic restructuring, enhance growth quality based on improved productivity and innovation, and develop the digital economy and human resources, particularly high-quality human resources. semiconductor industry development.

"We have reached a high level of consensus on key areas including major infrastructure and climate change response infrastructure. Both sides will also focus on digital and green transformation,” he said.
