Writing contest on traffic safety launched

(VOVworld) – A writing contest entitled “Safety on every road” was launched on Wednesday in Hanoi in response to Traffic Safety Year 2012. The contest encourages both proffesional and amateur writers across Vietnam to write features, essays, and reports on traffic safety. Entrants can submit their entries from next month until next April.

The contest encourages both proffesional and amateur writers across Vietnam to write features, essays, and reports on traffic safety. Entrants can submit their entries from next month until next April.

Bui Viet My, Editor in Chief of Hanoi’s Hanoians Newspaper and the contest’s chief organizer, said: "All the entries are required to reflect the real story about traffic safety in Vietnam as well as suggest solutions to the problems. We welcome features on Vietnam’s traffic culture, with a focus on good examples of road users and traffic police working tirelessly to ensure safety and order."
The competition includes 16 prizes, with a first prize of 1200 USD. The award’s ceremony will take place on Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day on June 21st next year.
