The event was held by the Japanese embassy in Australia and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.
The participants agreed that the East Sea is facing growing strategic competition by claimant countries. They said the world community should find a way to control China’s acts as other world powers do either lack the ability or do not want to directly get involved in maritime disputes.
