The embassy’s statement, which comes on the 92nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and the US, said that in today’s multipolar world, opportunities have emerged for Russia and the US to normalize relations based on the principles of equality, respect for national interests, and peaceful coexistence.

It recalled several milestones in Russia-US relations and noted that, although bilateral ties have gone through ups and downs, the two countries have always found solutions and recognized their responsibility for maintaining global security.
