President Cuong cast his vote at polling station No. 26, Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi. Also present was General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army.

At polling station No. 7, Diplomatic Quarter, Xuan Dinh ward, Hanoi, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Vice Chairwoman of the National Election Council, was the first to cast her vote. Following her, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and other voters in the area exercised their rights and duties.

At polling station No. 4 in Thanh Xuan ward, Hanoi, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc cast their ballots.

In the south, at a polling station in Long Xuyen ward, An Giang province, Vice President of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan was present for voting.

Former Party and State leaders Truong Tan Sang, Nguyen Minh Triet, and Nguyen Tan Dung cast their votes at polling stations in Xuan Hoa, Tan Dinh, and Phu An wards in Ho Chi Minh city.
