The VOV News and Current Affairs Department (VOV1) earned First Prize in the Planet category, while VOVWORLD received two Second Prizes for “From Enemies to Empathy: The Quiet Power of the MIA Mission” and “In the Footsteps of Ham Nghi.”
“From Enemies to Empathy” examines the profound evolution of Vietnam-US relations through the countries’ longest-running and most human bilateral effort: the search for American servicemen missing in action (MIA) from the Vietnam war.
Beginning long before diplomatic normalization in 1995, the joint MIA mission has grown into a powerful symbol of reconciliation, built on empathy, persistence, and shared loss.
At its core, the story reflects the human connections that bridge historical wounds, underscoring that reconciliation is not only possible but necessary.

Meanwhile, “In the Footsteps of Ham Nghi” follows the remarkable journey of Amandine Dabat, a French art historian and fifth-generation descendant of King Ham Nghi.
For more than a decade, she has worked to revive global recognition of her ancestor - an exiled patriot, gifted artist, and considered Vietnam’s first modern painter - after more than a century of obscurity.
Her journey is both scholarly and deeply personal, as she reconnects with her roots and strengthens her bond with Vietnam.
The T4P Media Awards celebrate powerful stories that promote sustainable living, social justice, inclusion, and a culture of peace and equal opportunity.
