(VOVWORLD) - Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will work closely with Vietnamese diplomatic agencies to promote external information work in South America, a region that lacks information about Vietnam, according to a recent meeting between the Vietnamese Ambassadors to Venezuela and Argentina and a VOV delegation led by VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien.

In Caracas, Ambassador Vu Trung My said the working sessions with VOV brought breakthrough results for media cooperation between the two sides and for external relations information work. He urged for efforts to make programs produced by VOV's television channel VTC10 reach the Venezuelan public.

According to My, media agencies like VOV need to set up permanent offices in Venezuela, a  country that wants cooperation with VOV where both have strengths – training modern journalists and building a strong revolutionary press.

Ngo Minh Nguyet, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Argentina, praised VOV’s cooperation over the years with the National Radio of Argentina and Argentina's Federal System of Media and Public Content.

She said program exchanges have given the public of both countries accurate, honest, and comprehensive information and enhanced mutual understanding, particularly in communications and external relations.

Mr. Hien thanked the two embassies for their support, and said that as soon as the delegation gets home, the proposals made during their meetings will be implemented.
