VOV, China’s Guangxi strengthen media cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - A delegation of the Party Communication Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region visited Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and attended the closing ceremony of the documentary “The Path of Development” at VOV headquarters in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Meeting with Chen Yi Jun, Head of Guangxi’s Party Communication Department, VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien highlighted VOV’s strong and longstanding collaboration with China Central Radio and Television and local Chinese stations. 

He said, "VOV and China Central Radio and Television and local stations have carried out a series of cooperation and exchange activities. VOV and Guangxi Radio and Television jointly produced the documentary “The Path of Development” to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China relations."

Chen said that her visit will further deepen cooperation in culture, education, tourism, and communication between China’s Guangxi province and Vietnam. She added, "The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic ties and is also a year of cultural exchange between the two countries. I believe that the jointly produced documentary “The Road to Development” will be of high quality. We are committed to implementing the shared vision of our countries’ leaders at the local level and strengthening cooperation between Guangxi and the Voice of Vietnam."

"This will contribute to building a community with a shared future. I also propose increasing exchanges and visits, collaborating on program production, filmmaking, and news sharing," Chen told delegates.

The documentary “The Road to Development” is a joint project by Guangxi Radio and Television and VOV’s Vietnam Digital Television. The film is 90% complete and will air next year to mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations.
