(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan met with 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors in Hanoi on Saturday.
The meeting took place on the occasion of 14th World Blood Donation Day, June 14th. Mr. Nhan asked sectors and agencies to take into consideration rewards for blood donors who are the examples to encourage more people to take part in blood donation campaigns. Over the past 10 years, Blood donation steering boards have been established in all provinces and cities and 6.4 million blood units were collected to help save great number of patients.
