(VOVworld) – The 2014 “Red Sunday” blood drive scheduled for this Sunday expects up to 5,000 units of blood to be donated.

The co-organizers, the Tien Phong (Vanguard) Newspaper and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, told reporters on Tuesday that the campaign will be launched in ten localities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Nghe An, and Dak Lak.
The campaign will encourage greater involvement of youth in blood donation and ease blood scarcity during the coming Lunar New Year.
