(VOVworld) – Clashes between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad erupted in Lebanon’s capital Beirut on Sunday killing one person and injuring 15 others.

 Gunfire erupted between pro-Assad gunmen of the Arab Movement Party (AMP) and Sunni Islamists who support the opposition. The gunfire ended after the Libyan army was deployed to the area.
