South Korean enterprises displayed their strongest sectors including electronic technology, food, cosmetics, machinery, medical equipment and information technology. Vietnamese enterprises discussed their need for business partners. Vo Tan Thanh, Vice General Secretary of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "South Korean enterprises are investing in many major projects in Vietnam. Samsung has committed more than 4.5 billion USD, LG has received the investment license for a project worth 1.5 billion USD in Hai Phong, considerably increasing South Korea's investment in Vietnam. South Korea's total registered investment capital ranks 3rd now and bilateral trade relations continue to rise at a two-digital rate year on year".

South Korea is now Vietnam’s fourth largest trading partner after China, the US and Japan.
