Speaking at a Vietnam–Uzbekistan business dialogue in Tashkent on Tuesday, Chairman Man noted that while bilateral cooperation has yielded positive results, it still falls short of the two countries’ potential and long-standing friendship.

“First, it is essential to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and agricultural product processing. Uzbekistan holds strengths in cotton, fruit, and high-quality agricultural goods, while Vietnam has expertise in processing technology, aquaculture, and agricultural exports,” said the Vietnamese top legislator.

He suggested that businesses from both sides jointly build supply chains covering production, processing, and export—taking advantage of the Vietnam–Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement to bring high-quality products to global markets.

“Second, the textile, garment, and footwear sectors should be further developed. Uzbekistan is one of the world’s leading cotton exporters, while Vietnam has a highly advanced textile and garment industry. Collaboration in raw material supply, production, and distribution will help create high-value-added products.”

Chairman Man also urged both sides to deepen cooperation in energy and green technology, establish a direct flight between the two countries this year, and enhance trade and investment.
