According to the tour operator for Son Doong, the Indian film crew of more than 100 people will spend three weeks in Quang Tri, though only 12 will be permitted inside the cave itself due to conservation regulations. In addition to Quang Tri, the film will feature scenes shot in Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, and Da Nang.
This marks the first time Indian cinema has chosen Vietnam as its primary filming location, with 95% of the movie to be shot in the country.
Scheduled for release in 2026, Silaa is expected to bring Vietnam’s natural wonders to a global audience.
Son Doong cave, discovered by a local man in 1990, was officially recognized by Guinness World Records in 2013 as the world’s largest natural cave.
