Vietnam's response to Myanmar situation

(VOVWORLD) - As a regional neighbor and an ASEAN member, Vietnam is closely watching developments in Myanmar and hopes that the country will soon stabilize the situation for national development and for peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and continue to contribute to the building of the ASEAN Community. 
The statement was made by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on Monday in reply to a reporter's question on Vietnam's response to the current situation in Myanmar. 
Myanmar’s state-run Radio and Television (MRTV) announced a year-long state of emergency on Monday after Myanmar’s government leaders were arrested by the military earlier the same day
State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, President U Win Myint and other senior officials were detained by the military, according to Myo Nyunt, spokesperson for the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD).
