(VOVworld)-Vietnam has clearly confirmed its policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, cooperation of external relations, and considers China as one of its top priorities on the list of its foreign policy. Recently the joint sea patrol between two ships from the Vietnam People’s Navy, HQ 011 and HQ 012 and the Chinese naval forces belonging to the Nanhai Fleet has been concrete evidence of the friendly relationship and the mutual understanding between the armies and navies of Vietnam and China. In an interview granted to the People’s Army Newspaper, Vietnamese ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho said that Vietnam has signaled its willingness to cooperate with other armies especially Chinese People's Liberation Army to maintain peace, security, friendship and cooperation in the region, especially the East Sea. He added that it is during the regular joint sea patrol that the two sides practiced search and rescue activities and exchanged their experience in this field.
