(VOVworld) – The first batch of Vietnam’s litchi reached Canada on Wednesday by air. Rex Yu, representative of Manley Sales, importer of Vietnam’s litchi, said the litchi has met the export standards as well as requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to enter the Canadian market.
Mr. Yu said Vietnamese litchi has sweet taste and thick pulp. The fruit has great export potential but the high shipping cost results in its high price in the Canadian market. Manley Sales plans to distribute Vietnam’s litchi to as many as supermarkets in Canada within 1 week.
