(VOVworld) – Viettel has launched a telecommunication service called Halotel in Tanzania. The Tanzanian President and Prime Minister attended the inaugural ceremony on Thursday. Halotel is the sole telecommunication service providing 3G coverage across Tanzania.

Tanzania is Viettel’s fourth market in Africa including Mozambique, Cameroon, and Burundi. Halotel was considered the best investment project in 2014 in Eastern, Western, and Central Africa at the Global Investment Conference 2015.
