This museum is the result of the project to build a biodiversity database in Quang Nam province, implemented from 2015 to 2021.
Quang Nam Biodiversity Museum will research, collect, store, preserve, display, build, manage, and exploit databases, documents, and samples of the province's biodiversity resources.
The Museum has collected and stored more than 3,700 photos and more than 1,200 specimens of plants, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish, and benthic animals belonging to 719 species in 274 families. The museum will also maintain data sets, documents, digital maps, and scientific reports.
