This information was announced on Friday at the Vietnam Economic Pulse Forum 2024, co-organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and CIEM under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

CIEM Director Tran Thi Hong Minh said Vietnam has basically overcome its challenges in 2024 but needs stronger determination in institutional reforms to create the best conditions for production and export recovery. “We need to maximize support for businesses in green transition so they can achieve sustainable production."

At the event, experts suggested that Vietnam flexibly adjust its policies in all fields, from the economy and education, to social welfare, amid rapid changes in the global economy and technology, along with mounting impacts of climate change.

They also discussed a long-term vision to promote an inclusive and sustainable economic framework that will also be resilient to shocks, so that Vietnam can become a powerhouse in green technology and innovation.
