More than 500 prominent military manufacturers from 50 countries participated in the show which is an important international defense show in Southeast Asia and among the world’s top 15 such shows.

Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation is displaying more than 60 products including communications, electronic warfare, simulation models, optoelectronics, radar, command and control, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and 5G private networks.

Attending the event for the first time, representing Vietnam’s defense industry, Viettel demonstrates Vietnam’s determination to gradually become self-reliant in military equipment.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, said: “Viettel Group’s participation at the Defense and Security Show aims to implement Vietnam’s open foreign policy of international integration, active defense diplomacy, and befriending with other countries for peace. Vietnam is implementing a defense strategy as well as a strategy for peace. Vietnam strengthen its defense position to protect the Fatherland and to serve peaceful purposes, which is consistent with the theme of the show – “The Power of Partnership.”

During the exhibition, Viettel secured a deal with PT Bandara Praniagatama from Indonesia on the distribution of its cockpit simulator and pilot training system in the Indonesian market. The deal shows important progress in Vietnam’s plan to expand its military export market, which is expected to earn tens of millions of USD.
