Vietnam’s Buddhist followers help India, Nepal fight COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in India on Tuesday delivered a donation from Vietnam’s Buddhist followers to India and Nepal to aid their COVID-19 efforts. The donation handover ceremony took place both in person and online.

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau, on behalf of Ngoc Phuong Vihara of the Mendicant Sect and the Vietnam Buddhist University, presented 35 ventilators and other medical supplies worth 175,000 USD. Chau said the donation testifies to the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam, India, and Nepal.
