Vietnam gives India medical supplies to fight COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has delivered 109 ventilators and 50 oxygen generators to India to help save COVID-19 patients. The equipment arrived in Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday.

The second batch of relief from Vietnam, including 100 ventilators, 275 oxygen generators, 1,300 oxygen cylinders, and 50,000 masks, will be shipped by an Indian navel vessel from Ho Chi Minh City to Chennai in the Tamil Nadu state in the next few days. 

The  donation is worth a total of 1.5 million USD. The Vietnamese Embassy in India said although Vietnam is dealing with the 4th wave of COVID-19, it is willing to help India as much as possible to surmount the pandemic, which has seriously affected all socio-economic aspects of India.
