(VOVWORLD) -The third Ninh Binh Festival in 2024, which opened Sunday night in Dinh Tien Emperor square, Ninh Binh city, retold a story of Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital from 968 to 1010, through an elaborate "historical drama".

Themed "Golden age of the ancient capital", the opening program was the most special mechanical moving stage ever in Vietnam, with 21 3D mapping projectors, plus a combination of lifting tables, turntables, and slide. The performances sublimated the ancient costumes corresponding to each historical period.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province Pham Quang Ngoc said, “This year's festival confirms Ninh Binh's determination and efforts in developing the cultural industry, entertainment industry, heritage economy, and organizing activities to preserve the essences of the Hoa Lu ancient capital in the flow of national cultural heritage.”
