In his opening remarks, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on National Defence, Security and Foreign Affairs Le Tan Toi expressed his pride in Vietnam as a peaceful, stable, dynamic, and creative country, and an active and responsible member of the international community.

He said that to achieve its accomplishments, Vietnam has received valuable support from international friends, including Australia. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries was a turning point that expanded bilateral cooperation and reflected a deep mutual trust, said Mr. Toi.

Benjamin Franklin, President of the New South Wales Legislative Council, said that the close ties between Vietnam and Australia are not only strategic and diplomatic but have a profound humanitarian significance.

At a ceremony in Prague on Thursday, Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam said the Czech Republic has been a longtime friend and reliable partner of Vietnam.

According to the Ambassador, the two sides still have much room for future cooperation in areas such as education, training, defense industry, digital transformation, AI, culture, tourism, and labor. He said he hopes a direct Hanoi-Prague air route will soon be launched to boost trade, tourism exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity.
