(VOVWORLD) - A three-month-old girl in Vietnam’s Vinh Phuc province, who tested positive for the new coronavirus, is recovering, according to the Administration of Medical Examination and Treatment.

Its Director said Monday that the baby doesn’t have a fever, shortness of breath, nor a runny nose. She coughs less and is nursing well. Doctors believe that she will soon be released from hospital when several more tests are done.

In HCM city, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases said a 73-year-old Vietnamese-American has tested negative for the virus for the first time after two weeks of treatment.

Under the Health Ministry guidelines, people infected with Covid-19 can be discharged from a hospital only after they have been fever free for at least three days and samples have tested negative two times in a row.
