In a meeting with Japanese Economy Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister Anh stressed that Vietnam highly values Japan’s leading role in the promotion and negotiation on the CPTPP. He added that Vietnam thanks Japan and the minister for effective support in persuading other CPTPP members to give certain flexibility to Vietnam in such issues as labour, trade union, and intellectual property. Minister Anh reiterated Vietnam’s resolve to work with Japan and other members to soon put this agreement into force and to concretize the benefits that the deal will bring to businesses and people of the participating nations.

While meeting with Chilean Foreign Minister Healdo Munos, Minister Anh said Vietnam highly appreciates Chile’s organisation of the CPTPP signing ceremony. He also affirmed Vietnam’s efforts with member countries to soon put forth the trade deal.

During another meeting, Minister Anh and Mexican Economic Minister Ildefonso Guajardo exchanged bilateral letters they signed in the framework of CPTPP negotiations and discussed the upcoming ratification and enforcement of the deal.
