Vietnamese products, cuisine introduced in Algeria

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese products and cuisine were introduced at Algeria’s Carrefour Hypermarket on Friday at an event collaborated between the Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria and the Carrefour supermarket chain.

At the event, participants tasted and learned about the processing techniques to produce Vietnamese coffee and pangasius fillets, which are favored in Algeria. According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), Vietnamese pangasius has been exported to more than 140 countries and territories worldwide, conquering markets in the US, Europe, and Japan.

In the first eleven months of this year, Vietnam exported 1.36 million tons of coffee earning 3.5 billion USD. Vietnam's coffee export is expected to continue to grow for the rest of the year. Vietnamese coffee is currently available in over 80 countries worldwide.
