Vietnamese Prime Minister begins Estonia visit

(VOVWORLD) -A plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation landed in Tallinn on Thursday, as they start an official visit to Estonia at the invitation of Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal.

Estonia is the first leg of Prime Minister Chinh's working trip to three European countries, which will also take him to France, and Sweden.

The Vietnamese PM and his entourage were welcomed at Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport by were Estonian Ambassador to China and Vietnam Hannes Hanso; Deputy Director of the Estonian State Protocol Department Sven Tolp; and Vietnamese Ambassador to Finland and Estonia Pham Thi Thanh Binh.

This is the first-ever visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister to Estonia after the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. The visit aims to enhance bilateral friendship and multi-faceted cooperation.

During the visit, Chinh is scheduled to hold talks and meetings with Estonia’s senior leaders, attend a Vietnam-Estonia business forum, and visit various economic, social, and cultural institutions.
