In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Nguyen Nam Duong urged the Vietnamese community in Egypt to stay connected to their roots, preserve national cultural identity, traditions, and language, continue promoting the positive image of Vietnam, its people, and culture to Egyptian friends, and actively contribute to the friendly partnership between Vietnam and Egypt.

Le Thanh Thuy, an overseas Vietnamese in Egypt, said: “Every year, we gather at the Embassy to celebrate Tet together. Everyone is very excited because it feels like coming home. Although we live far away, I always follow news from the homeland and see that Vietnam is developing steadily. I wish the Vietnamese community in Egypt and people back home good health and prosperity.”

Nguyen Thi Phuong Phuong, a student of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, studying in Egypt, said: “This is my first time celebrating Tet in Egypt. Although I am far from my family and home country, I still feel the care and warmth from everyone around me. This is a very special and memorable experience for me. I wish everyone living and working in Egypt good luck, happiness, and peace in the new year.”
During the program, Vietnamese people and international friends enjoyed traditional Vietnamese Tet dishes such as banh chung (Square sticky rice cake), pho, and spring rolls.
