Major General Zhang Zhao Yin, Deputy Commander of the Nanhai Fleet, has expressed the hope for more frequent exchanges of delegations and information of marine security, joint patrols, and personnel training with Vietnam.  Zhang made the remark at Tuesday’s reception for Colonel Nguyen Duc Nho, leader of the Vietnamese delegation. Since 2005, the Vietnamese Navy and the Nanhai Fleet have conducted joint patrols in the Gulf of Tonkin to share experiences in search and rescue at sea, contributing to closer Vietnam-China traditional friendship and cooperation. The same day, the Vietnamese crew members visited the Zhan Jiang municipal People’s Committee.
