Businessman Hoang Tuan Anh is famous for his rice-dispensing machine (Rice ATM) initiative. This project has been proposed by CNN and Reuters as an effective way to help people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

32-year-old doctor Tran Anh Tu, who works for the Department of Infectious Disease Control at the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, is honored for his contributions to COVID-19 prevention and control in Vietnam.

The Asian Youth Council (AYC) is a non-government, youth-serving, regional organization formed in August 1972 to promote solidarity and cooperation among young people in Asia.

The Outstanding Young Leader of Asia 2021 award honors outstanding young people aged 18-35 in Asia who have created COVID-19 initiatives, participated in volunteer activities, and brought positive changes to their community.
