(VOVworld) – Overseas Vietnamese and embassy staff in Sri Lanka on Sunday donated 455 USD for soldiers on duty at the location where China’s illegally-placed its oil rig Haiyang-981 within Vietnam’s Exclusive Economic Zone.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ton Sinh Thanh, talked with participants about the current situation in the East Sea, China’s actions, and Vietnam’s pursuit of defending its sovereignty by peaceful measures.
