At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the significant potential for further development in bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas where France holds competitive advantages and Vietnam has growing needs, such as aerospace, urban transportation, nuclear energy, and manufacturing technology.
He urged France to expedite the ratification of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and to work closely with Vietnam to ensure the effective implementation and optimization of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

Prime Minister Chinh also encouraged French enterprises to establish joint ventures with Vietnamese partners to develop strategic industries and services with high spillover effects, including the automotive and logistics sectors.
French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou reaffirmed France’s strong commitment to deepening cooperation with Vietnam, not only in traditional areas but also in expanding collaboration into emerging fields, in line with the two countries' Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Following the talks, the two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing and exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding on the sustainable management of mineral resources and the enhancement of geological knowledge in support of the energy transition.
