(VOVWORLD) - A team of three Vietnamese engineers has won first prize at the Global AI Challenge for Building E&M Facilities, held in the Hong Kong, China.

The awards ceremony was held on Friday at the Hong Kong Science Park. The competition, which was held from June to August in online and in-person formats, drew more than 200 teams from 26 countries and territories.

It featured two main categories: “Developing a general AI model to predict cooling demand for multiple buildings” and “Proposing innovative solutions for the building and engineering industry.” The event was a platform for researchers, students, AI experts, and startups exchanging ideas on how AI technologies can drive progress in the construction and engineering sectors.

The Vietnamese competitors are Nguyen Hoang Vu from startup AIZ, Luong Duc Long from Viettel Group, and Dang Quang Minh from VCCorp.
