Earlier, Thai media reported thirty-eight fishermen on seven boats had been arrested by the Royal Thai Navy’s patrol forces when they were fishing off Koh Kra Island, about 30 nautical miles south of Nakhon Si Thammarat province. These fishermen are accused of “illegal fishing” in Thailand’s waters and detained in Songkhla navy base. The same day, Thai authorities sent these 38 fishermen to court for trial. A ruling will be issued soon.
