Speaking at a ceremony to handover the money yesterday, envoy Pham Thi Ngoc Bich expressed the Vietnamese community’s sympathy for the victims. She said Vietnamese in other areas have also sent donations to Krasnodar and some have helped local authorities clean and repair houses. Lev Ronomariev of the Center for Aid Reception promised to forward the aid to flood damaged areas to help the locals recover.
